Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: August 6, 2026  ·  Last Updated: August 6, 2026

Matt St. Jean wants mattstjean.com (the "Website") to be usable by and accessible to as many people as reasonably possible, including people with disabilities.

Our Accessibility Efforts

We take reasonable, good-faith steps to improve the accessibility and usability of the Website. These efforts include:

  • Using semantic page structure and meaningful headings in a logical order
  • Providing text alternatives for meaningful images
  • Supporting keyboard navigation throughout all pages
  • Maintaining readable text and color contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 AA thresholds
  • Labeling all form fields with properly associated labels
  • Including landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer) on every page
  • Providing a skip-to-main-content link as the first focusable element
  • Avoiding content that flashes in a manner known to create a seizure risk
  • Not blocking pinch-to-zoom on mobile devices
  • Testing pages with automated and manual methods and correcting confirmed barriers

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 Level AA) as our technical reference when designing, reviewing, and improving the Website. This statement does not certify that every page, feature, third-party integration, or item of content fully conforms to WCAG 2.1 AA at all times.

Known Limitations

We are actively working to address the following known limitations:

  • Some third-party embedded content (such as social feeds, scheduling tools, or external links) may be controlled by providers we do not own, and their accessibility is governed by their own practices. We welcome reports about barriers in these features and will make reasonable, good-faith efforts to provide an alternative when possible.

Accessibility Is Ongoing

Websites change over time. New content, third-party tools, browser updates, assistive technologies, and technical limitations can affect accessibility. We periodically review the Website and prioritize confirmed issues based on their impact on users and the availability of a reliable correction.

Request Assistance or Report a Problem

If you have difficulty accessing information, using a feature, or submitting a form, please contact us. When possible, please identify:

  • The page address or feature involved
  • What you were trying to do
  • The problem you encountered
  • Your browser, device, or assistive technology, if you are comfortable sharing it
  • The format or communication method that would help you access the information or service

You are not required to provide disability or medical information. We will make reasonable, good-faith efforts to respond, investigate the issue, and provide the information or service through an accessible alternative when appropriate.
